Treble-chasing Hendon cruised into the semi-finals with an easy 5-0 success over Division Two strugglers Faithfold C.

Strikes from Josh Bentley, Yoav Kestenbaum, Ben Kon, Rafi Kon and Avidan Last eased them through.

Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "First and foremost well done to the ref for being really positive in getting the game played on a tricky pitch. Once we did get going we totally controlled the match from the first whistle to the last.

"At times we were camped in their penalty area never mind in their half and on another day and with a bit more luck could have scored double figures.

"All credit to Faithfold for some heroic defending and a good spirited match. After a long Christmas break we were happy to get this game played and out of the way and we look forward to the semis."

Faithfold player-manager David Garson told JC Sport: "We were delighted to get to the quarter final but hendon were to good for us on the day, good luck to them in the semi-finals."
