Dynamic duo inspire Haroldeans

Haroldeans threw down the gauntlet to their MJSL title rivals after maintaining their perfect start to the season.

The Merseysiders, who have taken 12 points and scored 22 goals in their first four games, saw off Oakhill 3-1 as they continued to impress.

Bobby Abrams and Josh Silverberg did the damage and James Harris also netted as Ivan Gee’s men cruised home.

South Manchester 2nd held Republic of Mancunia 1st to a 2-2 draw at Frederick Road with Jake Feinstein and Dan Linton grabbing the goals.

Adam Klapisch and Gabriel Franks scored for Republic 1st, who wasted a whole host of chances to seal all three points.

Elsewhere, Hyde Park Rovers announced themselves on the MJSL scene with the 8-1 demolition of Crumpsall.

David Herman hit four and Ben Robuck netted a brace, while Oli Grant and Paul Clayton both on target.

Hyde Park’s next opponents, Republic of Mancunia 2nd, continued their encouraging start to the season with a 6-1 win over struggling Leeds Maccabi 3rd.

Andrew Shaffer and Shlome Friedman both scored twice with Ben Newman and Anthony Simon completing the rout.

Sporting JLGB got back to winning ways with the 5-0 thrashing of basement boys Broughton.

In-form striker Adam Herman scored twice, while Rafi Bloom, Jason Deach and Danny Jacobs also hit the target.
