articlemain

Here are the lucky XI who impressed the JC panel of judges most on Matchday 5 of the MGBSFL season.

1. ED BLOOM (FC Team A) - "incredible performance, made crucial saves and blocks and his handling was immense. Top class!"

2. RICHARD BLOOM (NL Raiders B) - "he's been flawless since he came back from the US this summer and today he was a rock in the centre of defence, winning every header and tackle and marshalling the back line superbly to hold out against Sollosi(s) & co!"

3. ALEX BLOCH (NL Raiders A) - "showed everyone why David Garbacz tried to sign him twice this week with a fabulous performance at left back in what was his first start of the season; outstanding in defence and a constant threat going forward"

4. MARK ABO (Oakwood B) - "was very good" in the 1-0 derby win over Haroldeans

5. ADAM POOLE (Woodford Wanderers) - "cool, calm and colossal" against Brixton

6. OLIVER LESLIE (Southgate Harmen) - "ran the game for 90 minutes and scored a great free-kick. Showed his class and was a wonder to watch. One of the best performances you will see on a Sunday morning this season"

7. SAMMY HUBERMAN (AC Whetstone) - "was everywhere for 90 minutes" against Catford. "Typified the team spirit and desire that defines AC Whetstone"

8. ARI LAST (Hendon Utd SC A) - "no exaggeration - one of the best midfield performances his manager, David Garbacz, has ever seen at this level"

9. DAN GORDON (Faithfold C) - joined the Schnitzelman at the top of the MGBSFL goal charts after hitting three quality strikes against Hendon

10. STEVE SUMMERS (Chigwell Athletic) - best performance since returning to the club he co-founded. His second goal of a hat-trick was worth the admission fee alone!

11. BARRY GREEN (Loughton Orient) - "hat-trick hero, Always looked dangerous and made dangerous runs"
