articlemain

Here are the star performers from Matchday 3 of the MGBSFL.

1. HARRY FINE (Harmen) - distribution was spot on and his two spectacular saves were a lift to the whole team, resulting in a clean sheet against Woodford

2. JON LESSEM (Real Sosobad) - It was hard to separate Lessem and Josh Cohen who excelled in keeping out Hendon B in a game where Josh Hambling was also outstanding

3. SAM LIPTON (ML Lions Blue) - "the youngster was class for the whole game against NWN"

4. BEN LEWIS (Faithfold A) - they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Ben Lewis proved them wrong on Sunday. The striker-turned-midfielder excelled at the back for the Superhoops, alongside former POTY Dan Howard to ensure there was no way through for the champions and he was a key factor in Faithfold's resolute performance that ended Hendon's long unbeaten run

5. JUSTIN SPIRO (NL Raiders A) - "was ill in bed in the lead up to the game but came out and expertly handled any Redbridge threat. He was our best player in pre-season and he has carried that form into the season"

6. DAN EZRA (London Rovers) - "two fantastic finishes, with the second taking it round the keeper with such composure"

7. SAM SOLLOSI (Redbridge JC B) - "a central midfield master class you would pay to see"

8. ELLIOTT WALLIS (SPEC FC) - "a constant threat for the Brixton defence. He had a hand in three of the goals (scoring one) and had one ruled out for offside"

9. JONNY QUINN (Oakwood A) - "his finishing was absolutely outstanding. He scored three with his left, one with his head and another with his right. There are not many at this level who can finish like that". And his RVp-esque header was top-notch!

10. ADAM ELLIS (Shacharit Donetsk) - SEE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

11. JULIUS JUDAH (Athletic Bilbaum) - "player-manager scored a hat-trick on his season debut - finishing off the day with a delightful chip"
