Danny Caro's Goal of the Week: February 3

articlemain

There were quite a few golden oldies on show on Matchday 21 of the JC MSFL season, and it was good to see futsal king Jonny Cohen teach the youngsters a lesson with what can only be described as a 'worldie'.

WINNER: - Jonny Cohen (NW Neasden A) - picked up the ball 25 yards out, took one touch out of his feet and curled it top bins

NOMINEES

- Josh CAPLIN (Los Blancos) - a superb 25 yard postage stamp free-kick

- Benni SLUKIS (Hendon C) - GOAL 3 - superb one-touch passing between Glekin, Strom and Levy led to Slukis being released and sliding the ball under the keeper for a hat-trick

- Ben DAVID (Hendon C) - 25 yards out struck a sweet free-kick

- Freddie MARKS (FC Team B) - kept up his goal-scoring form with a curling effort from 25 yards out which nestled high in the goal

- David BRAUDES (Oakwood A) - marked his first appearance for the club with a lovely finish

- Tony CHADWICK (Neasden B) - an amazing chip from 20 yards first time with the outside of his left foot after a great Starski through ball

- David DINKIN (NL Raiders A) - brilliant 25-yard free-kick that arrowed into the net

- Adam AMINOFF (FC Team C) - scored from 25 yards with a supreme curling strike

- Simon BUCHLER (NL Raiders B) - GOAL 2 - having gathered the ball safely, keeper Nick Grosse rolled the ball out to left-back Dan Garb who hit a crisp first-time pass to Matt Greene. Spinning on a six-pence, he pinged a 40-yard pass to Nick Woolf on the right wing who beat his man and crossed in for Buchler to volley in from about 12 yards - As good a goal as Rich Abrahams has ever seen at any level of football - stunning counter attacking football

- Richard GOLD (Redbridge JC B) - after going missing from his right-back position, he ended a mazy run with an unstoppable finish in off the underside of the bar against Catford for his first goal since he was eight-years-old

- Jonathan GREEN (Brady A) - beat Max Shields with a delicious, exquisite, audacious and inch-perfect lob from 30 yards. Just needs to fine-tune that celebration now!
