Danny Caro's Division 1 Team of the Week: October 9

articlemain

This is my MGBSFL Select XI from Matchday Five of the season.

1. SCOTT SHEAR (Redbridge JC B) - "had a confident game in goal for in-form RJC B team, making one good save"

2. ANDY COHEN (Scrabble FC) - "played at times in both full-back positions and didn't put a foot wrong throughout the game"

3. RICHIE CAPLIN (Redbridge Jewish Care B) - "came on and got the RJC team flowing better"

4. GAV KRIEGER (Finchley City FC) - "Best CB in Division One (although his CB partner Gurvitz will have a lot to say about that) An absolute colossus at the back"

5. ILAN SCORAH (Oakwood B) - "having a real renaissance and has been a bright spark this season. Good 90-minute shift today. At one stage embarked on a 50-yard run, past two men, one on one with the keeper .... and blazed it over. 10/10 for trying"

6.JOEL BARNETT (Los Blancos) - "for his all round defensive master class" against Hendon

7. JAMES ABRAMS (Oakwood B) - "at his roaming and mercurial best today, James. Passes the ball so well and gets better with age. A fine performance"

8. JOSH BHARIER (Scrabble FC) - "his powerful running and tackling caused Raiders enormous problems the whole game ending with three Raiders players bundling him over for Scrabble's penalty winner"

9. OLI SADE (Finchley City FC) - "hat-trick hero - scored one of the most outrageous goals we have ever seen and a joy to watch"

10. ADAM HERSH (Los Blancos) - "for being a menace up top and bagging two goals"

11. JOSH BLOOM (ML Lions B) - "clinical as ever, scoring a hat-trick, one an extremely cute lob over the keeper"

MANAGER: Sam Rank (Redbridge Jewish Care B)
