Cup concern for Hendon

David Garbacz believes Hendon United Sports Club A will be at a disadvantage when they travel to South Manchester for the quarter-finals of the Peter Morrison Trophy later this month.

Strikes from Greg Corin (2), Jacob Gold, Josh Lipman, Avidan Last and Ari Last steered the cup holders into the last eight with a resounding 6-0 win over Norstar A.

Hendon will now travel to the Armitage on March 24 for a place in the semi-finals.

Garbacz said: “It is just such a shame that, at present, we will be going there as holders with eight men due to the totally ridiculous scheduling of this fixture on erev Pesach when the majority of my squad are away.”
