articlemain

Clore Shalom won the Maccabi GB Year 6 Primary Netball Tournament at London Maccabi.

The event was the final time that the young players will represent their schools at a Maccabi GB tournament and all the girls gave their all throughout the afternoon. The girls were also well supported by the many teachers and parents who came along to support their schools.

The final between Clore Shalom and Wolfson Hillel was a really exciting game with lots of chances for both sides.

In the end it was Clore Shalom who were the most prolific in front of the posts and secured their victory to claim the winner’s trophy.

The tournament finished with a sporting medals presentation to both finalists and the trophy lifted high by the winning Clore team.

Four schools attended the event bringing six teams; in total 60 players participated in the event.

Maccabi GB’s sports coordinator Scott Shulton looked back on a successful year of netball tournaments. “Over this past year the interest and the quality of the netball has increased a huge amount," he said.

"We have engaged over 700 girls in netball tournaments this year and alongside our regular ‘Sport for Everyone’ netball sessions that we now have up and running, the sport is looking in great shape to progress further over the next year."
