North West Neasden have started the search for a new chairman after Sammy Carr announced that he will step down at the end of the season.

Carr has been in charge of the club for seven years. He also co-manages Neasden’s B team, has been in charge during the most successful period in the club’s history. The A team have won the league and cup double for the past three seasons.

“All good things must come to an end, and I have decided to step down,” said Carr. “I have been immensely proud of what we have achieved. We have become the most successful Jewish club of the noughties and in many ways,
Jamie Cole has been an inspiration to these results.

“It would be a shame to let such a club disappear because I can no longer provide the time and effort needed to stay involved. So what I am asking is for people to step forward and take over the responsibilities. Be it club chairman or B team manager.”

Carr said: “It has been an honour to build a club of our magnitude and to have enjoyed the success that we have all achieved. To have two teams in the top flight and now a new C team has been a triumph, and I hope it continues for many years to come.”
