Bychenko looking to add to medal flurry in Sochi

Alexei Bychenko has reached the final of the men's figure skating event in Sochi.

The Ukrainian-born Israeli suffered a fall in his second jump, but recovered to score 62.44 points and claim 22nd place out of the 30 contestants. The top 24 compete in tonight's final.

While Israel awaits its first-ever Winter Olympics medal, there was joy for Jewish competitors in the Skating competition, with Dylan Moscovitch claiming silver with the Canadian national team in the Team event.

Also on the podium in the was Figure Skater Simon Shnapir who helped American win bronze.

Earlier, Jason Brown and Charlie White featured in America's eight-man team that took bronze.
