articlemain

Scrum half Eitan Humphreys helped Israel to its second Nations Cup success in the space of a week after the team ran in four tries to defeat Norway 22-11.

Humphreys, who retained his place in the side that had beaten Austria in Vienna, lined up alongside 2009 Maccabiah GB star Matt Frankfurt, who regained his starting place in the front row.

Humphreys, 21, and a member of the Nottingham University's team, impressed in front of more than 1,000 fans at Netanya's Wingate Institute.

He said: "It was an incredible honour to represent Israel and we were able to play some excellent rugby. There is an excellent atmosphere within the squad and I look forward to playing many more games in the future."

Humphreys, who has an Israeli mother, comes from west London and went to St Paul's School, where he was vice president of Jewish Society.
