Adam Lee, joint-manager of Enfield Town, was in philosophical mood after leaving the club by mutual agreement.

The Ryman League Division One North team had made a poor start to the campaign and Lee departed to leave Stewart Margolis in charge.

"I put in a lot of effort in pre-season but was under pressure from the first game," said Lee.

"It became a bit farcical in the end as I needed the board to back me but they didn't.

"The problem is deep-rooted and it'll take a long time for the club to go forward. I wish Stewart and the boys the best of luck for the future."

Having managed Wingate & Finchley and Great Britain at the 2005 Maccabiah Games, Lee wants to stay involved in football management but his immediate goals are representing London Maccabi Lions Masters and GB in the Over 45 competition at the 2009 Jewish Olympics.
