Adam Bernstein scored the goal of the game as the top-of-the-table clash finished all square as leaders Shirley Park drew with title rivals Glenthorne A.

Bernstein cracked home a stunning 25-yard strike and a penalty from top-scorer Craig Sandford earned Glenthorne a point.

Simon Shelley and Stefan Benfredj were the goal men for Park who remain five points in front of the Thornes who have four games in hand.

Thornes boss Sam Rosenthal told JC Sport: "It was an end to end game that either team could have won in the end. We played some great football and on another day could of had five or six, but it was a good battle and now we look forward to our derby against Chigs next week."

Shirley player-manager Dave Lusman told JC Sport: "It was a good game for the few separators. I think both teams will be pretty disappointed not to take all three points.

"The chances both teams had in the drying minutes of the game could have sealed the deal, but it wasn't to be."
