Belmont cruise home

articlemain

Belmont and Edgware Cricket Club claimed a fourth victory of the season following a 31-run win over Cross Keys.

Nick McLeod’s unbeaten 41 and captain Ryan Monk’s 37 ensured BECC recovered from 78-6 to post a score of 151 all out.

Mitchell Mayer then laid into the Cross Keys batsmen by taking 4-26, while Adam Jacobs claimed an impressive 3-7.

Noam Attar’s 2-11 left Cross Keys playing catch up all the way through and they were eventually dismissed for 120 from 28.5 overs.

But it was Mayer’s performance which stole the show with the young bowler performing alongside his brother Elliot and father Phil.
