Avraham wins Czech title

articlemain

Roee Avraham edged out Noam Pe'er in an all-Israeli final at the Under 15 section of the Czech Junior Open.

In the same category, Nadav Raziel 13, defeated the number two seed on his way to gaining sixth place.

Whilst all 13 Israeli participants gave stellar performances special mention should be made of Ido Burstein's seventh place in the Under 13 category, and international debutante Inbar Grossberg's 10th place in the highly competitive Under 19 category.

The contingent's performance is further evidence of the progress made following the appointment of Stan Tannen, who now heads the Junior Section of the Israel Squash Association. Under Tannen, an Englishman, the squad has embarked on an innovative training strategy that is clearly bearing fruit.
