Israeli champions Hapoel Kiryat Shmona were beaten 2-0 by Athletic Bilbao in their penulimate Europa League group match.

In a contest put back a week due to the recent unrest in Israel, captain Fernando Llorente put Bilbao ahead on 34 minutes in what was an assured display from the Spaniards at the Kiryat Eliezer Stadium.

Hapoel's best chance came when substitute Shimon Abuhazira linked up with Ahmed Abed who was denied by Bilbao keeper Raul.

Bilbao sealed the points 14 minutes from time when Ibai Gómez set up the influential Gaizka Toquero who smashed home a shot past Danny Amos.

Hapoel finish their campaign in France next Thursday against group winners Olympique Lyonnais.
