JC MSFL DIVISION ONE

Lions B maintained their excellent start to the season with an impressive 2-0 victory at promotion rivals in Wembley.

Nick Astaire and James Gold were the goal men for Jamie Kyte's men at the Ark Academy.

The first half was very delicately poised, with both teams matching each other all over the pitch and neither team producing many chances.

Lions had a couple of openings with Kosky shooting from distance and some well delivered free -icks but neither tested the keeper too much.

After half time the game opened up much more as players started to tire, Jonny Cutter came on filling his famous attacking midfield position and as ever he linked up well with Sam Argehbant and Adam Kosky to get LML attacking more.

Lions' first goal finally came in the 75th minute when Kosky delivered a fantastic cross into the box, that wasn't dealt with by Camden and was pounced on by poacher Nick Astaire, Lions took a deserved lead.

Soon after, substitute Gold put the game to bed after he got on the end of a Will Beresford cross.

LML boss Jamie Kyte told JC Sport: "Another great game of football on a Sunday morning. As the players were clapped off the pitch by both home and away supporters, the travelling fans starting singing Camden's song - 'We are the Lions, we do what we want!"

Camden player-manager Josh Marks told JC Sport: "The only positive thing worth mentioning is the quality of ref. Pendantic at times otherwise top quality.

"Disappointing from us today We weren't able to show our class."
