articlemain

The Championship today welcomed a third Israeli after Gai Assulin completed a loan move to Barnsley from Manchester City until January 3.

Earlier this month we told you that Assulin, 20, was looking to drop down into the Championship after acknowledging he had little chance of breaking into City's first team squad

The former Barcelona B-team player, who made his debut for Israel as a 16-year-old, becoming the youngest-ever player to represent the country, is expected to make his debut against Leeds on Saturday.

He played at Oakwell in a friendly for Israel’s Under-21s against their English counterparts earlier this season.

Defender Dekel Keinan's joined Crystal Palace on loan from Cardiff City earlier this week.
