Stuart Delmonte toasted promotion but now wants to celebrate a title-winning party at AFC Flixton.
The Flixton joint-manager, along with Tony Rosenberg, masterminded his side’s promotion from Division One with a five-star display against Price Waterhouse.
But Flixton still require four points from their remaining two games to guarantee lifting the championship in their first season in non-Jewish football.
"It's great to finally get over the line," commented Delmonte. "We have been looking strong all season, but it’s a relief to confirm our promotion.
"It’s another big step for the players, but we will ready next season. Our job now is to finish off strongly and ensure we win the league."
AFC Flixton did not look back after Andy Rosenberg and Adam Tauber struck early. Rob Jacobs’ second-half double and Dan Garmen ensured promotion was sealed in style.
Delmonte added: "It was another professional and dominant performance. Andy Rosenberg and Steven Beck, our new signing, were outstanding."
