Sam Little leads the Challenger Tour Order of Merit with one tournament to go after winning the Roma Golf Open in Italy.

Having already regained his card for the main tour next year, Little claimed his third victory in four competitions with a sudden-death play-off victory over Pelle Edberg.

The Englishman looked to be running out of holes at the Olgiata Golf Club but he holed an approach shot from 104 yards for an eagle three on the par five 15th and followed that with a chip-in birdie on the 16th.

He said: "I'm delighted. To be going into the Grand Final as the No. 1 is incredible."
