Catford & Bromley captain Adam Luria says he was proud of his team following the cup exit at the hands of 2011 JC Cyril Anekstein Cup winners Redbridge.
Luria believes the 4-1 scoreline did not give a fair reflection on a game in which they failed to capitalise on a number of chances.
He told JC Sport: "Against one of the strongest teams in the league, we can be genuinely disappointed not to have taken more from the game. Redbridge are full of quality and came at us strongly from the off, but we restricted them to shooting from distance and were fairly comfortable until 40 minutes in when we conceded twice in a minute after losing the ball in midfield and leaving ourselves exposed.
"Redbridge were worthy winners as they took their chances and some of the one-touch football they played was top notch. However, had it not been for their keeper we could well have been in front before they even notched their first."
ADAM STOLERMAN was the hat-trick hero as RJC eventually wore down the Cats of Division Two at Norseman FC. Midfield maestro Ben Sollosi finished the job.
The Cats were finally rewarded when Ashley Stokes volleyed in from a brilliant Jonny Lee ball into the box.
RJC manager Eilon Kennet told JC Sport: "It was a comfortable win, despite the conditions, which made it very hard to play our passing game.
"It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win. Stolly continues his rich goal-scoring form and this week deservedly scored a hat-trick."

Luria added: "Throughout the first half we had our own chances, with Ashley Stokes, Jonny Lee and Yonni Bord all testing the keeper.
"We conceded again after half time, again losing the ball in a dangerous position when we could have cleared. From then on, we continued to play good football and tested the Redbridge keeper, with him making good saves from Yonni Bord and Ashley Stokes.
"After pulling one back, we continued to have chances, with Redbridge hitting us with pace and precision on the break, but really only drawing two or three saves from Guy Ben Aroya in goal the whole game."
