Stephen Fry touched on some of the quirks of Yinglish this week in his Radio 4 Fry's English Delight, which was about bilingualism. "The Londoners are the only ones who say Shobbes or chollah and motzah," Yiddishist Barry Davis (below) explained. "In standard Yiddish, it is Shabbes, challah and matzah."
