Business boost in Cape Town

articlemain

The Cape South African Jewish Board of Deputies (SAJBD) hosted a networking event for members of the black and Jewish communities last week.

“This event is part of the SA Jewish Board of Deputies’ mandate,” said Rael Kaimowitz, vice chair of the Cape SAJBD. “We are building alliances with this country’s future thought leaders.”

The evening included a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style competition, where six entrepreneurs pitched their businesses to a panel of judges.

Donovan Goliath, the regional manager of the Shanduka Black Umbrellas, a business incubator in Cape Town, said: “We can learn so much from each other. The black community needs to stand together, and the Jewish community is a classic example of how to do this.”
