Ryan can "do complex math problems in his head", Adam "loves tennis, travelling and low-maintenance blondes" and nursing student Mark "sees himself as a modern day Patch Adams".

These are the stars of the 2013 edition of the Nice Jewish Guys calendar. Created by television producer Adam Cohen, better known by his work on American shows The Simple Life and Make It or Break It, thousands of men go through a casting process to whittle them down to the final 12.

Mr Cohen told Ha'aretz that Jewish men: "are not always the best-looking guys, but we have jobs".
