London yeshiva student killed in helicopter crash

The victims have been identified as Amrom Fromowitz, Hershy Weiss and Eliezer Brill

A yeshiva student from Golders Green London was said to among four people killed in a helicopter crash in Ukraine.

The victims have been identified as Amrom Fromowitz, and Eliezer Brill both from New York and Hershy Weiss who was from London. 

According to Ukrainian media, three yeshiva students and a pilot were killed in the crash in the Carpathian mountains.

The other two students were said to be from the New York communities of Monsey and Williamsburg.

The three had been on a sightseeing ride.

Local media reports suggest the helicopter crashed into a private home in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and sparked a fire.

The three were students at the Mir Yeshiva in Jerusalem and believed to be visiting the graves of Jewish sages in Ukraine.
