A social media post displaying a football video game adapted to show Nazis playing concentration camp victims has been removed after being viewed over 127,000 times and sparking a series of antisemitic comments.

The video clip, which was published by the Total Football 102 Facebook page, shows a game of Pro-Evolution Soccer in which a team dressed as Nazis score a goal. The clip then shows scorer, dressed as Hitler in a Nazi uniform, celebrating. The number on the back of the uniform is 88, popular among neo-Nazis. The eighth letter of the alphabet is H, and 88 is used by the far-right to mean HH, an acronym of “Heil Hitler”.

The video then cuts to the goalkeeper, who is shown in the black and white striped uniform worn by inmates in Nazi concentration camps.

Comments below the video include: “When the game is over, is the other team supposed to go shower”,  “that goal was hotter than an oven”, “COME ON NAZIS”, and “Did the Jewish team lie about how many players they lost”.

However, there were also comments condemning the video as being “in poor taste – disrespectful”, and “sick and twisted”.

Another commenter said it was “not funny at all”, telling the three thousand people who had liked the clip “ you’re all ignorants c***ts.

Total Football 102 has been contacted for comment.
