St Andrews student convicted of anti-Jewish abuse plans appeal

articlemain

A student convicted of racially abusing a Jewish student at St Andrews University has launched an appeal.

Paul Donnachie, of Blackpool, was sentenced to 150 hours of community service last September after being found guilty of the attack on Chanan Reitblat at his halls of residence.

The hearing will take place at Edinburgh's High Court of Criminal Appeal on March 13.

It is understood the case will focus on legal arguments over Donnachie's original conviction.
