articlemain

Police have appealed for information about a Jewish woman who has been missing for nearly six months.

Margo Leitch, 73, who lives in sheltered housing in Grove Park, south-east London, was last seen at her home in March and listed as missing in April.

Ian Wall, of the Metropolitan Police's missing persons team in Catford, said; "We are quite concerned. She has been known to sleep rough in the past."

Police, who have compiled a 160-page dossier, have searched her home for clues. They are following up a possible sighting of Ms Leith on the Saturday before last at the West Central Liberal Synagogue in London.

Ms Leitch had been a regular attender of events at the Institute of Jewish Studies at University College London. Sara Benisaac, the institute's events organiser, said:"She used to come to almost everything we did. She is a nice, friendly lady. We're very worried."
