Missing British trekker: body found

articlemain

A body, believed to be that of a missing British trekker, has been found in Nepal.

George Abboudi, 22, was last seen at the beginning of August, before leaving friends to embark on a hike through the Annapurna Conservation Area, in the north of the country.

A member of his family has confirmed that authorities discovered a body in the region.

There is no evidence of foul play.

A family spokesperson said: "George made people happy - wherever he was, there was laughter and fun.

“He will be missed terribly by his mother, father and brother. The family requests privacy at this very sad and heartbreaking time."
