Boy George to launch Israel's gay pride events

articlemain

It looks like singer Boy George could soon be changing his lyrics to “Shawarma Chameleon”, following news that he is to open gay pride events in Israel this year.

The music icon, who found fame in '80s pop group Culture Club, will officially launch Israel’s pride events in Eilat on May 15, at the annual Temptation party on Dekel Beach.

He will be performing an all-night DJ set at the event alongside music producer Mark Vedo.

The country’s LGBT festivities will then continue the following month with Tel Aviv’s annual gay pride week, which takes place from June 8 – 13 and culminates with a street parade throughout the city.
