Board of Deputies vote on Guardian boycott

articlemain

The Board of Deputies will vote on whether to boycott the Guardian newspaper this Sunday. Deputies will debate a motion encouraging the Board to "regret the appearance of antisemitic material in the Guardian and its online Comment is Free section".

The motion, tabled by Woodside Park Synagogue's Jonathan Hoffman, vice-president of the Zionist Federation, and seconded by Hendon Reform's Harry Levine, states: "The Board urges all who oppose antisemitism to refrain from buying the Guardian or advertising in it, until its editor has proved that he is willing to confront the problem."
