Norwood link to Ripper Street

A snatch of Jewish interest in the latest episode of new BBC1 crime drama, Ripper Street, set in the 19th-century East End of London. Sunday’s dose of grimly stylish murder featured several scenes at a “Jewish orphanage" (see pic) . The original Jews’ Orphan Asylum was opened by Norwood in 1831.
