Foreign artists often leave behind their own language and sing in English when here. But Israeli guitarist David Bradichanski stuck to his native tongue, singing only in Hebrew in a solo set at the Earl of Camden pub in London on Monday.

Having used English in Europe before, he said: "It was the first time I've played in my language." Despite the unfamiliar words, he felt the audience was attentive and "connected".

David started making music when he was 19, after his father Eduard was killed by a Palestinian terrorist in 1999: "It was a cure for my grief."
