A chasidic country retreat?

articlemain

The signpost indicated an intriguing discovery deep in rural Kent: "Little Satmar Holiday Park".

Could the superfrum Chasidic sect have set up a caravan camp between Folkestone and Dover without anyone knowing?

Of course, it was too good to be true. Little Satmar and Great Satmar are old English farm estates, which have nothing to do with the Charedi group or its place of origin, Satu Mare in Romania.

But I wonder how the Kent location got its name.

One curiosity: there is a nearby turning off Satmar Lane, where the holiday park is situated, called Winehouse Lane.
