A staff member of the Israel Government Tourist Office has been found dead at her home in Maida Vale.

Melissa Ramsden is believed to have committed suicide and police said they were not treating her death as suspicious.

The 37-year-old, who was not Jewish, had worked as the IGTO public relations manager for four years.

According to the Sun, photographs of Ms Ramsden wearing a gun belt belonging to a police officer from the Metropolitan Police Diplomatic Protection Group were found in her home.

A police officer has been suspended and the Met's Directorate of Professional Standards has launched an investigation.
