An Islington man has been handed a community order after officers caught him writing antisemitic graffiti on a bus stop in Stamford Hill last month.
Antonio Santos, 61, was sentenced at Thames Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
He received a community order with a rehabilitation requirement and 80 hours’ unpaid work over 12 months for three counts of racially aggravated criminal damage.
Officers found him writing antisemitic graffiti with a pen on 18 December. A police investigation led to the discovery of additional bus stops with the same graffiti.
