Chloe and Olivia Brookman rock up with a novel chair

articlemain

Sisters Chloe and Olivia Brookman have come up with a new range of rocking chairs for modern mums.

Their company, OlliElla, sells contemporary colourful nursing chairs, hand-made in the UK. Starting in a pop-up shop in Islington, north London, the chairs are now stocked in Harrods and several baby boutiques in London and Manchester.

The idea was born two years ago following Chloe's own experiences as a new mum, searching for a chair to nurse her son that wouldn't look out of place in her contemporary home. Chloe, 29 (front) tells People: "Finding something in the UK was next to impossible. I couldn't believe that there was nothing available. So Olivia and I designed one and the rest just happened organically. We received our first three orders on the day we launched. By the second week we were taking orders from Australia and Russia." The chairs cost around £900.
