Religious studies may be growing in popularity at GCSE but the state of Bible knowledge is still low among the nation's youth if the following is anything to go by. I recently came across the History Aptitude Test paper which Oxford University set for applicants last year. It included a passage referring to the Book of Genesis and, presuming ignorance among sixth-formers, a footnote explaining what this was.
