The United Synagogue has removed a video of Jewish school children singing Hatikva after it was inundated with “hate-filled” antisemitic comments.

The US shared the short video on Twitter which showed the Jewish school children singing the Israeli national anthem.

It attracted 300,000 views and the US said it had made “so many people happy” however comments left under the video on X/Twitter included people describing the school children as “future Nazis,” and “bunch of little Nazis.”

One user said: “They are still children but have been taught to support genocide, it is not surprising that they themselves will become perpetrators of genocide in the future.”

Another user wrote: “The irony of Israel using children when they are the ones killing children. I gotta say Jews learned from history and now they control all of the West because how else does a group of people get away with a modern-day holocaust against the Palestinians.”

A spokesperson for the United Synagogue said: “We posted the video yesterday and the comments were mostly positive. One person said it was the first thing that had made them smile for weeks.

“But then it wasn't long before the hate comments came and it is not something we wanted associated with children. We didn’t want parents or the children to have to see that so we took the difficult decision to take it down.”
