Celebrities Drew Barrymore, Sandra Bullock and Eminem are fans of Dr Bronner's magic soaps. The range, developed in 1948 by Emmanuel Bronner, are believed to be the top selling natural soap cleanser in America. Now, Michael Bronner - Emmanuel's grandson - is driving their expansion in the UK, where the soaps are stocked in Waitrose, Liberty of London, American Apparel and Whole Foods, to name a few.
US-based Mr Bronner, 34, says the soap can have 18 different uses including the face, body, your dog and teeth. Teeth? Really? "Yes, but my grandfather did take his teeth out before brushing." He tells People: "The beauty industry is geared towards hyperspecialisation and trying to convince the customer that they need separate products for different things. Simplifying your body care is key."
