A man has been arrested after he was seen making a Nazi salute.

A member of the Jewish neighbourhood watch group Shomrim had witnessed the man make the gesture and and shout "Heil Hitler" at Jews in a street in Stamford Hill, north London.

Metropolitan Police confirmed: “A man has been held on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and was taken to an east London police station on Sunday.

“He was arrested at the scene after a member of public alerted them to an incident in West Bank Road N16.”
