A security guard was lightly injured when two Arab girls attacked him with knives in the city of Ramle.

According to the police, two teenage girls approached a building entrance at the central bus station and the 25-year-old guard asked them to identify themselves. The two then pulled knives out of their clothing and stabbed the guard in the leg and hand.

The pair were quickly subdued by a soldier and civilian.

Police said the two suspects were around 13 years old and arrested with knives in possession. One had a school backpack with her.

The guard taken to Assaf Harofe Hospital with light injuries.
