A group affiliated with the Al Aksa Martyrs Brigade, part of Fatah, has claimed responsibility for the attack which they say they carried out in response to the death of Palestinian prisoner Arafat Jaradat.
Palestinian groups have claimed that Mr Jaradat, who died on Saturday in unknown circumstances, was tortured by Israeli Shin Bet officials while being interrogated at the high-security Megiddo prison in the north of Israel.
Mr Jaradat, 29, was arrested in February after allegedly throwing stones at Israelis.
