Back from Benghazi, William Hague can now look forward to his long-awaited meeting next Thursday with a delegation from the Board of Deputies. Long-awaited by the Board, that is. It has taken four months to fix a date since the deputies first asked to see the Foreign Secretary amid concern over some of the government's pronouncements on the Middle East - a delay attributed to the outbreak of the Arab spring.

Let's see if Mr Hague comes out wearing a "We Believe in Israel" t-shirt.
