Tuffkid is rated outstanding

articlemain

Kisharon's Tuffkid nursery in Golders Green - where mainstream children learn and play alongside those with special needs - has been rated outstanding in every category by Ofsted inspectors.

Ofsted's report praised Tuffkid's "inspirational" leadership and the quality of teaching.

"Staff have a superb understanding of how each child learns and deliver varied and imaginative play experiences, both indoors and outdoors."

It noted that "all children, including disabled children and those with special educational needs, make consistently high rates of progress according to their starting points and capabilities". The partnership with parents was "exceptional".

Kisharon chief executive Dr Beverley Jacobson said Ofsted's approval was "both a gratifying and a well-deserved result for the immense effort leaders across Kisharon are putting in to ensure that all of our services are at the forefront of good practice".

The report was published in the week that Kisharon's college provision was commended in the Times Educational Supplement's Further Education Awards.
