Arlene Phillips, Zandra Rhodes,Vanessa Feltz, Kate Winslet, Mary Portas and Bill Wyman have put heart and soul into a charity project by artist Cindy Lass.

From October 13-15, 50 heart-shaped canvases by celebrities will be exhibited at Gallery Different in Fitzrovia. They will all be available to buy and proceeds will benefit stem-cell charity the Heart Cells Foundation.

Ms Lass - whose commissioned painting of the Queen's corgis hangs in Buckingham Palace - said she wanted to create an exhibition "that would lift spirits".

Jenifer Rosenberg, chair of the Heart Cells Foundation, believed people would be "hugely moved by this project.

"Drawing attention to our work is, of course, a bonus."
