Primary pleases Ofsted

articlemain

Ilford Jewish Primary has been rated as educationally good by Ofsted, an improvement on its previous inspection report in 2009.

Inspectors noted that IJPS - where around two-thirds of the 307 pupils are from Jewish families - was a "good school whose strong partnerships with parents and carers and the community contribute to its warm and positive family ethos". It had "embraced the changing nature of its intake, warmly welcoming pupils from many different ethnicities over the past 18 months, many of whom are in the early stages of learning to speak English as an additonal language".

Foundation governor Jonathan West said: "The inspectors recognised the immense hard work put in."
