Maccabi GB’s junior rugby stars have created a Guinness world record for most passes in an hour, recording 2,336 on Sunday at Saracens’ Allianz Park, Barnet, stadium.
The record-breaking attempt — which is subject to official ratification — was the brainchild of manager Neil Taylor as a means of fundraising towards the squad’s participation in the Maccabiah Games in Israel. Some £10,000 in sponsorship was generated.
“The lads did a fantastic job,” Mr Taylor said. “They put in a lot of hard work and dedication to prepare themselves. I hope we can carry this success through to the Maccabiah and take home the gold.” The previous record of 2,052 passes was recorded in 2011.
