Hughes gets the vote for Radlett rabbi’s role

articlemain

Rabbi Jonathan Hughes has been overwhelmingly confirmed as Radlett United Synagogue minister with 97 per cent backing in a vote of members. It followed a weekend visit by Rabbi Hughes, his wife Chana and their four children to Radlett, where they met more than 350 adults and around 100 young people at a Friday-night dinner, Shabbat lunch and other events.

Currently minister at Richmond Synagogue, the former academy footballer said his new congregation could expect "a rabbinic family that has drawn on inspiration from the study halls of Jerusalem, the Talmud and its commentaries and Reading Football Club". He will start in December.
