Falling into money for Jewish Care

articlemain

A wheelchair-bound Jewish Care client jumped from a plane at 15,000 feet on Sunday to raise more than £5,000 for the charity.

Simon Davies, 38, has cerebral palsy and has been a resident at Jewish Care’s Rela Goldhill Lodge for over 15 years.

“Everyone told me I was mad doing this jump but it was something I have always wanted to do,” he said.

“It was odd being strapped to a stranger you are about to jump out of a plane with. It is hard to explain how it felt as I have never experienced anything like that feeling before — a mix of excitement, nerves and pure adrenalin.” He hopes that sponsorship for the jump will eventually reach his target of £10,000.
